Terms and Conditions
Your satisfaction and safety is our top priority. Therefore, we have summarized some basic rules that govern the use of our website.
SkateMate reserves the right to update or change these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

ORDER & PAYMENT
Payment options

We offer payment solutions via Stripe.(should all payment options be included here?)

Your order – Private individual
Your order will be processed within one to two working days after you have placed the order. After you have placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation.

The prices listed next to each product are in SKR, Euro or USD excluding any national shipping charges. Shipping charges are calculated and applied before you confirm your order. Prices include VAT. We are not responsible for any customs duties outside the EU.

Your order – Business
Your order will be processed within 1-4 working days depending on whether you are a new or existing customer.

Unfortunately, the shipping cost will not be shown on the order confirmation but will be added afterwards.

As we strive to keep costs down, we try to find the cheapest and best option for you as a customer.

Prices are exclusive of VAT.

FREIGHT
Delivery time
We do our very best to ensure that you receive your products as quickly as possible. See below for approximate delivery time:

  • Nordic countries: 2-5 days

  • Europe: 2-7 days

  • North America: 5-10 days

  • Rest of the world: 5-15 days

In the order confirmation sent to you by e-mail you will find your order number. Please keep this so that we can provide you with prompt service in the unlikely event of any complications with your order.

Shipping costs
Shipping is free for orders over 350 SEK.
If you order less than that, a shipping fee of 29 SEK will be added. See fees below. We do not take responsibility for any charges outside the EU.

Orders to countries outside the EU, may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes levied when your package reaches your country. We ship your package under the Incoterm Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU), which means we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes on orders to countries outside the EU. We cannot predict what your particular charges may be, please contact your local customs office for more information.

ABOUT THIS WEBSITE
Colors
We photograph all products with the intention of depicting the product as accurately as possible. However, because computer screens and screen settings vary, we cannot guarantee that the product you see on screen is identical to the physical product. However, in most cases the difference is barely noticeable.

Browser
Our website works with most browsers. Should you encounter any problems, we recommend that you try Google Chrome or Safari.

Cookies
In order for you to be able to make a purchase of our products, your browser must allow cookies. These cookies are small text-based data files which are temporarily stored on your hard disk in order for the technical framework of our website to function (among other things, cookies ensure that the contents of your shopping cart do not disappear while you are browsing the website). Our cookies do not store any personal information about you.

Personal information
In connection with your order, you will be required to provide certain personal information. This information will not be sent to third parties.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Returns and exchanges
According to the Distance and Home Sales Act, you as a consumer (this does not apply to companies) have the right to withdraw from the contract by notifying us within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Returned products must be unused with labels still attached and in unbroken packaging. When you return or exchange your products, you pay the shipping costs for your return yourself. As soon as we have received the products, we will send you new products or give you a full refund, in accordance with your request. You will not be reimbursed for shipping costs. We do not take responsibility for products lost during return shipping.

Returning or exchanging products
Please contact us at support@skatemate.com and provide your order number, the products you wish to return and the reason why. Then wait for our instructions. If you do not contact us before returning your products, you run the risk of not receiving a refund or an exchange.

Complaints
In the event of damaged or faulty goods, or if we have sent the wrong goods, a complaint must be made within 14 days. You will receive a new product or a refund. Contact customer service for more information.

Returns procedure:
If you are not satisfied with an item, please contact us by email. Email our
customer service support@skatemate.com for information about your particular return conditions. When exchanging or returning goods, you bear the transport risk and pay the return shipping. If we have shipped the wrong item, we pay the return shipping.

We do not pay for items that are not fully franked.

We are responsible for any shipping damage between our warehouse and your delivery point. Should you discover any damage when you receive the package, report it on site at your delivery point. If you only see the damage when you open the package, report it to us by email to support@skatemate.com

When returning to SkateMate, you bear the transportation risk. Be sure to pack the item properly, use the original product packaging and a protective transport packaging, equivalent to the one in which the item was delivered to you. Go to the nearest post office and return your goods. Keep in mind that you pay the shipping costs. SkateMate will not redeem packages sent against cash on delivery.

Transport damage
If the packaging or the goods are damaged on receipt of the delivery, we would like you to note this in writing together with the carrier on the delivery note you sign. Describe the damage and also ask the carrier for a signature. You must always keep the packaging so that the damage can be inspected. Contact customer service for more information.

Misprints etc.
We reserve the right to make any misprints, errors in information and incorrect specifications on this website. This also applies to the images, which can only be considered to have illustrative purpose.
